| Adam Walsh Killer Finally Identified |

Police have finally identified Ottis Toole as the murderer of Adam Walsh
Ottis Toole of course was more known as being an associate of mass murderer Henry Lee Lucas. This puts the exclamation point on him, now.
And while I understand John Walsh's struggles and the advances made re: missing persons cases, he really did more harm than good in the final analysis. Specifically, raising the paranoia-state by which this country has been ruled over for the last 8 years. John Walsh is a proto-neo-con in that regard.
And if I seem a little bemused by all this, well, keep in mind, growing up in the 1980s as I did, this was one of those spectres that was raised about as often as DRUGS or THE RUSSIANS. I even remember one time having to spend an entire afternoon after school down in the basement* because my parents got spooked over some report about predators preying on us "latch-key kids" as myself and my brothers were to the point of home invasion. It was, of course, bullshit.
* -- Before anyone thinks I'm accusing my parents of being mean torturers, keep in mind also the basement was also our** playroom (complete with an ancient pinball machine!), our TV room, our computer room, and where my bedroom was in this particular house. It was also at times the WARMEST place in the house, believe it or not.
** -- And when I say "our" I mean myself and my brothers. |
