Mad! Science!
* Two Iraq veterans, both double-leg amputees, are now using prosthetic legs powered by Bluetooth. WTF FTW
* Mike Huckabee suggests to Chris Matthews that the thoroughly non-existant Iraqi WMDs are actually in Jordan. Oh brother...
* Speaking of Huckabee, he may have Chuck Norris on his side, but John McCain has Sylvester Stallone in his corner. Well that's great. Any other aging has-been Internet-punchline action stars of the 80s wanna step up to support any candidates? Huh?
Speaking of aging has-been Internet-punchlines, it was announced yesterday that Joe Liebermann is now officially part of McCain's campaign. Quelle surprise.
* Continuing a tradition ongoing since the Reagan years, not one GOP candidate has been actually appearing at any Pro-Life rallies, merely sending statements or phoning in. HMM.
* Some of these went up at
scans_daily earlier today, but here's a website that has scans of the banned Judge Dredd episodes from 2000AD that feature parodies/rip-offs of trademarked corporate characters such as Ronald McDonald and Col. Sanders. Most excellent. These have never been reprinted anywhere due to threats of lawsuits, and indeed these almost got 2000AD shut down at one point. They come from "The Cursed Earth" storyline from 1979(?)...
* Oooo... Strange Maps....
* Blue Stripe: The Life and Times of a Dalek Slave
(No NFL football talk today, no point since there's no games. Probably later this weekend just to talk all the coaching craziness going on. Arsenal play Newcastle in the FA Cup 4th Round tomorrow morning...)
